I worked as a staff writer at Freedom New Mexico, three affiliated newspapers in Eastern New Mexico, on my summer and winter breaks from school at Baylor University. I was based at the Clovis News Journal, but also wrote for the Quay County Sun and the Portales News-Tribune. In addition to writing articles, I helped write, shoot, edit and design a centennial magazine for Tucumcari, N.M. and the newspapers’ seasonal magazines, Healthy You and Our Towns.
